Apprenticeship Schemes

Apprenticeship Schemes

We believe in the importance of supporting the next generation of civil engineering professionals. Our apprenticeship schemes are one of the many ways to ensure a sustainable workforce, with the skills and talent we need to push our business to the next level.

Training Programmes

Our Training Programmes are an exciting opportunity for anyone interested in working within the construction industry.  ECL  offer a very generous holiday entitlement, a competitive bonus scheme and the opportunity to avail of its Employee Assisted Program.

Apprenticeship Scheme

An apprenticeship is an excellent way to learn on the job and pursue a career within the groundworks and civil engineering industries. Apprenticeships combine classroom learning with on-the-job experience, providing mentoring, focussed learning and development of your skills and abilities.

As an apprentice, you will attend a local college on a part-time basis, usually one day a week. You will also work alongside experienced members of our team to gain relevant work experience. Topics will cover the skills and knowledge relating specifically to your job, as well as more general topics, such as safe working practices, environmental awareness and quality control.

Commitment to education

From apprenticeship schemes to early engagement with schools and colleges, it is important to identify our future workforce as early as possible. Educating and developing the professionals of tomorrow will secure the future of civil engineering.

Tuition fees paid

Developing your career shouldn't be stopped by the cost. At ECL we cover all tuition, training and membership fees, including your application for a CSCS card. We will also pay travel expenses to college, contribute to study books and provide you with personal protective equipment, including boots and jacket.

Earn while you learn

Earn while you learn and avoid the burden of student debt. We believe in fair pay for all our employees.

Mentor support

Experienced members of our team will provide advice and assistance, giving you the opportunity to learn from people who do these jobs every day.
