Works to Staple Lane, Middlebeck

HAND-DELIVERED

16th August 2023

Dear Neighbour

We would like to introduce ourselves as the appointed contractor undertaking the works to Staple Lane, on
behalf of Urban&Civic. ECL Civil Engineering specialises in delivering high-quality construction solutions with a
strong commitment to community welfare and safety. We are committed to working closely with you as a
community, and we offer our support to ensure this project is a success for you and to address any concerns
you may have.

Staple lane closure

Our works to Staple Lane will commence on the 21st August 2023 until November 2024. They will begin at the
west side of the junction to Jericho Road and continue down Staple Lane (see the red shaded area on the map
overleaf). This road will be completely closed for the duration of the project, and this will also include the
footpaths. Therefore, for safety, there will be no pedestrian or cyclist access allowed within this area.
During the closure period please reference our maps showing you the approved diversion routes. MAP A –
diversion for road vehicles, which will be well signposted for your assistance, and MAP B – diversion for cyclists
and pedestrians.

We have forged a strong collaboration with Urban&Civic who are wanting to keep you all informed about the
construction of the Southern Link Road (SLR). In doing so, they have published their first monthly newsletter
‘The Road Ahead’, which can be found on their website www.middlebecknewark.com or printed copies are
available at the Urban&Civic offices above Gannets Café.

May we take this opportunity to apologise for the inconvenience these works may cause you and in advance
thank you for your co-operation. We want to assure you that we will sincerely make every effort to minimise
disruption to you.

If you require any further details relating to these works, have any questions or suggestions, please do not
hesitate to contact us by emailing info@eclcivils.co.uk, and one of our team will be happy to help.
With kind regards

Dan Bartram
